Thai Nguyen province: Launch of the Cao Lan Ethnic Cultural and Arts Club in Ha Thuong Commune
On November 28, Nui Phao Mining organized a launch event for the Cao Lan Ethnic Cultural and Arts Club in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Ha Thuong Commune and the Suoi Cat Hamlet Front Work Committee.
This new initiative is part of Nui Phao’s ethnic minorities support program that aims to preserve and promote the intangible cultural heritage of the Cao Lan people, one of the most populous ethnic minority groups living in Ha Thuong, Dai Tu.

The Cao Lan Ethnic Cultural and Arts Club has been established with 26 members, all of whom are residents of Ha Thuong Commune sharing a common aspiration to safeguard and promote the unique cultural values of the Cao Lan people.
At the launch event, attendees had a chance to enjoy traditional Sinh Ca melodies, the iconic Tac Xinh dance, and participated in various cultural exchanges and entertaining activities. Sinh Ca folk singing and the Tac Xinh dance are unique performing arts of the Cao Lan people, recognized as Vietnam’s national intangible cultural heritage in 2012 and 2014, respectively.
The establishment of the Cao Lan Ethnic Cultural and Arts Club marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to preserve cultural heritage and strengthen community bonds. It serves not only as a hub for cultural practice and preservation but also as a space for connecting people and cultural exchange. With the support of Nui Phao Mining and local authorities, the Cao Lan people are committed to maintaining regular club activities to protect and promote these distinctive intangible cultural values.
In future, Nui Phao Mining and Ha Thuong commune envision the club will expand its connections with other clubs in the area and become a driving force for promoting local cultural activities and a key player in developing cultural tourism, attracting interest from communities from both within and beyond the region.
