Announcement of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Muong People’s Traditional Brocade Weaving Craft in Tan Son District
On November 18, at the Du area (Xuan Son commune), the People’s Committee of Tan Son district (Phu Tho province) held a ceremony to announce and hand over the Decision to include the “Traditional Craft – Muong Ethnic Brocade Weaving of Kim Thuong and Xuan Dai communes” into the National Intangible Cultural Heritage list, recognize tourism sites in Xuan Son commune, and open the 2024 Tan Son District Cultural and Sports Festival.
At the ceremony, Mr. Vi Manh Hung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Department of Propaganda, and leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism presented the certificate from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism recognizing the Muong Ethnic Brocade Weaving in Xuan Dai and Kim Thuong communes, Tan Son district, as part of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage to the representatives of the Party Committee, local government, and artisans of the two communes.

Additionally, the People’s Committee of Tan Son district announced the Decision from the provincial People’s Committee to recognize provincial-level tourism sites, including: Du Community Tourism Site, Coi Community Ecotourism Site, and Ngoc Waterfall Ecotourism Site in Xuan Son commune.
Previously, as part of the program, the 2024 Tan Son District Cultural and Sports Festival took place with many exciting and engaging activities.
