(TITC) – Ban Tham is hidden in the middle of a poetic green forest, vast clouds and mountains, fragrant flower gardens and terraced fields of golden ripe rice. Under the stilt houses, the life of the Lu ethnic people contains cultural values, promising to bring visitors interesting and unforgettable experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\\More than 10km from Lai Chau city, Tham village tourist area (Ban Hon commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau Province) is an interesting new destination, attracting tourists from inside and outside the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flowers in Tham village bloom all four seasons, with flowers competing to show off their colors such as wallflowers, woody daisies, zinnias, periwinkles, begonias, nasturtiums, carnations, etc. The most prominent is the carpet of begonias with brilliant red colors in the middle as the focal point of the flower garden… creating a colorful picture that captivates the hearts of many flower lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with the beauty of the flower valley, Tham village also attracts tourists with its mysterious caves. After admiring the flowers, visitors will follow the stream to visit the water cave and the mountain god cave. This is a beautiful, pristine stream. Taking a boat on the stream, visitors will be able to admire the majestic natural landscape of the mountains and forests, admire the magical beauty of the sparkling stalactites. Clear, cool water of the stream makes the scenery here even more poetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, visitors can also experience the culture of the Lu ethnic group with many unique traditional cultural features in architecture, costumes, cuisine and festivals… contributing to the diversity of the cultural identity of ethnic groups in Lai Chau province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lu people have a culinary culture with many delicious and unique dishes, made from simple, easy-to-find ingredients locally but with a distinct flavor. Famous are the xa sum dishes (minced lean meat with steamed spices), fish dishes such as pa p\u1ec9nh (grilled fish), pa \u00e9p (fish buried in ash). The Lu people’s wine, sticky rice wine, corn wine… have a fragrant, strong smell, not too spicy, very easy to drink. During festivals, the Lu people often invite each other to drink wine to show hospitality, closeness, and affection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with that, the Lu people in Tham village also preserve many other types of intangible culture such as festivals, architecture, traditional crafts, folk performing arts, etc. The Lu people’s festivals often take place on important occasions of the year, while also preserving and conserving beliefs and rituals in worshiping the Forest God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
