The festival combines culture and tourism in a way that showcases the potential and unique charm of Bac Son district, Lang Son province, for domestic and international tourists and travel businesses.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"730\" height=\"485\" src=\"https:\/\/dantoc.vietnamtourism.gov.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2210.Bac-Son-Lang-Son1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9011\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dantoc.vietnamtourism.gov.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2210.Bac-Son-Lang-Son1.jpg 730w, https:\/\/dantoc.vietnamtourism.gov.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2210.Bac-Son-Lang-Son1-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The 2024 &#8220;Yellow Season of Bac Son&#8221; festival is now in full swing (Photo: Duc Anh\/VOV5)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival, which will run until the end of October, features the &#8220;Bac Son Ultra Trail 2024,&#8221; rice harvesting competitions using rudimentary tools, rice pounding, and black square sticky rice cake wrapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors can also see how yin-yang tiles are made, explore ethnic minority health remedies that use local medicinal plants, and go paragliding or rafting in the scenic golden valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival showcases local products, offering visitors a chance to engage with Bac Son&#8217;s agricultural and craft heritage. There will be nostalgic displays called &#8220;Childhood Memories&#8221; and &#8220;Ancient Space,&#8221; as well as booths displaying the traditional farm tools used by local ethnic communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Nguyen Thi Tuyet, a visitor from Thai Nguyen province, said: &#8220;This is my first time visiting Bac Son and attending the festival. I\u2019m impressed by how the district has preserved its cultural identity. Local specialties like black square sticky rice and gio cakes are festival highlights.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bac Son, part of the Lang Son Geopark, boasts outstanding heritages, beautiful landscapes, historical and cultural relic sites, and special tourism products. The festival is part of the province\u2019s campaign to attract more visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Duong Thi Thep, Vice Chairwoman of the Bac Son district People&#8217;s Committee, said: &#8220;In the near future, we\u2019ll continue to implement the district\u2019s tourism project and further promote Bac Son\u2019s image to people in other localities.
